Brenda McCreight, Ph.D., is an internationally sought after therapist, author, and consultant specializing in services for families dealing with severe behavioiural challenges such as post adoption concerns, FASD, ADHD, conduct disorder, attachment disorder, developmental delays, and cognitive impairment.
For 20 years Brenda has been providing training to parents throughout North America, England, and Scotland to help them become more effective parents and learn how to manage their children’s difficult behaviours.
Now, Brenda’s attention and energy are focused on the parents; and, she is passionate about helping parents of challenging children heal from the stress of parenting and learn how to find and re-claim meaning and joy in their own lives.
Brenda is the author of “Recognizing and Managing Children with Fetal Alcohol/Syndrome” published by the Child Welfare League of America, and of “Parenting Your Older Adopted Child” published by New Harbinger Publications and “Eden’s Secret Journal: The Story of an Older Child Adoption” published by Adoption Press and “Help I’ve Been Adopted” by Tapestry Books as well as several fiction books.
Most importantly, Brenda is also a Hazardous Parent and she is the mother of fourteen children and seven (soon to be 8) grandchildren.
